Felt Releases 2014 Virtue Nine Line-Up. 2 Carbon Models and 3 Aluminum
While most are aware of Felt's proclivity towards high-end road and triathlon bikes, but they also have an extensive line of short to mid travel mountain bikes. The same
quality frame design and construction exist in this realm of Felt's
kingdom - and these new 2014 models are showing that Felt is keeping up
with the MTB crowd as well.
The Felt Virtue Nine platform has been gifted 29in wheels and boasts 130mm of rear suspension by way of Felt's proprietary Equilink suspension system. The bikes come with 140mm travel forks (except the Virtue Nine 60 — 130mm Suntour).RockShox delivers Felt suspension needs throughout the Virtue line-up. The drivetrain for the flagship Virtue Nine 1 is SRAM's X0 11-speed with a 30 tooth chainring. Post style disc brakes are a feature of the Virtue Nine model and eliminates an additional bracket or adapter for 160mm brake rotors. Avid X0 Trail brakes with 180mm rotors make sure you can stop quickly and confidently.
Even the seatpost is awesome, a Reverb Stealth allows for easy seat height adjustment on the fly.Constructed from UHC Advanced carbon fiber, the Nine 1 tips the scales at five pounds, including the shock. In addition to the Nine 1, Felt also offers a carbon Nine 3. The Virtue Nine also has three aluminum offerings (Nine 20, Nine 50, Nine 60).
